Game Overview

"Crystalline Wars: Arcane Battlegrounds" is a tabletop skirmish game that captures the essence of its card game predecessor, "Crystalline Wars," set to release in 2024. Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous Crystalline Wars era in the Fyndoria Universe, players will find themselves navigating the strife-torn lands of Eldronia, engaging in battles marked by the brutal use of fused magical elemental crystals.

Gameplay Mechanics

The game operates on a point-based system, allowing players to assemble their team of wizards with allocated points for spells and items. Elemental Crystal Tokens play a crucial role, as they are required for casting spells during the game. Players draw these tokens each turn, introducing an element of unpredictability and strategic depth. The game also features a character activation system using colored dice or counters, which adds a layer of excitement and surprise to each turn.

Our vision was to create a game experience that relies minimally on dice, using them solely for initial turn order determination and initiative draws from a bag (unless you use counters). The focus is on strategic play rather than dice-dependent combat outcomes.

"Crystalline Wars: Arcane Battlegrounds" includes detailed rules for setting up the game, character data sheets, and an array of spells and items to enhance your wizards' capabilities. The game's print-out section offers Elemental Crystal tokens, other tokens, pre-built wizard character sheets and forces, and blank wizard sheets to build your own small force of wizards, allowing for a fully customizable experience.
